Advocacy

We regularly advocate for individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities and often testify and give public comment at the State Capitol and other important events. We have a dedicated Consumer Action Committee (CAC) that works tirelessly to make their voices heard. The CAC board and representatives are elected by their peers, and are supported when they request assistance from our staff. Members of the CAC support one another by encouraging each other to be professional advocates for themselves and others.
